The cats don’t know it yet
(or do they?) but we have started the countdown, ELEVEN days to stepping on that plane to Kenya, to finally meet Pauline, our “daughter,” and to discover new lands….and to kick off this blog. But first, a little history….
We began sponsoring Pauline Betty Ouko, through the Slum Doctor Programme, when she was at Ombogo Girls Academy, so that she could complete her high school education. One thing led to another, and this shy girl has blossomed into a confident, intelligent, and beautiful young woman, who will be graduating from college this year! We are very proud of Pauline, and are finally going to meet her, her family, and all the people that helped her along the way.
And so begins the journey, which we would love for you to follow. This post is just to kick off the blog, and make sure it’s working, and invite you all to follow along on the trip. I’ll be back in touch when we begin for real, and when I have internet access.
This is so amazing.
Great work and congratulations to Ms. Pauline Ouko. Or should I say Dr. Ouko?
What a wonderful experience. Best wishes and bon voyage.
They know, and they know they can fit into one of those pockets, they just know it…
